What's ripe, and what's coming up
A running calendar of harvest windows and festival dates, so you can plan a menu before the date is already on top of you.
Late summer is still holding on
Peaches, heirloom tomatoes, sweet corn, and basil are all at their peak through the next few weeks. This is the window for caprese salads, tomato tarts, and anything that doesn't need the oven on for long.
Start watching for the first butternut squash and apples showing up at the edges of the market stall — that's your signal the season is about to turn.

Cooking with the season, not against it
Produce picked at its peak and sold close to where it's grown tends to taste better and cost less than something shipped in months early. It's also simply easier to cook — a ripe peach or a good tomato barely needs a recipe at all.
We update this guide as the market turns, so check back as summer gives way to the fall harvest and the festival calendar fills in.
